Hand Tooled Leather Tobacco Tray

Description

Enjoy preparing your pipe tobacco in this all leather hand-tooled tobacco tray. The bottom is lined with hand-tooled leather in a rope and upholstered pattern and then hand-sewn to the tray with cream colored nylon thread. The corners are secured with small silver shackles on three sides with the fourth being shaped for easily pouring your unused tobacco back into its jar or tin. The edges are died brown and burnished. A coat of Neatsfoot Oil Compound has been applied to the grain of the leather for protection. The sides are low so they do not interfere with preparing your tobacco or loading your pipe but still keeps everything nice and tidy.

The leather on this tray is grain-side-up and flesh-side-down with my maker’s mark burned onto the bottom.
