Description
Don’t be afraid of cutting twists and plugs in this tobacco tray. The bottom is lined with a solid cutting board which is attached to the natural leather with 1/4″ silver Chicago screws. The corners are secured with small silver shackles on three sides with the fourth being shaped for easily pouring your unused tobacco back into its jar or tin. The sides are low so they do not interfere with preparing your tobacco or loading your pipe but still keeps everything nice and tidy.
The leather on this tray is grain-side-down and flesh-side-up. The bottom is hand-tooled in an “upholstered” pattern with my maker’s mark. I have used Fiebing’s Saddle Tan antique stain on the back and finished it with Fiebing’s Tan-Cote. The edges are died black and burnished. The inside, where the tobacco goes is natural leather and has no dies or coatings to interfere with your tobacco’s taste.
Leather is a natural product and can vary in color and blemishes. No two are exactly alike. This is 100% hand-crafted and hand-made.
